Ronald A Ligon, MD
Disclosures: Nothing to disclose

Dr. Ronald A. Ligon is a pediatric and adult congenital interventional cardiologist at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital. In the cath lab, he cares for patients with a wide range of needs and disease processes, tackling everything from diagnostic evaluations to interventional procedures. Some of his aims include treating congenital heart defects (for example, by using ASD or PDA closure devices), gathering specific information to guide a patient's future cardiac surgery, and/or preventing surgery (for example, with a transcatheter pulmonary valve placement). Caring for the congenital heart disease community feels like a calling to Dr. Ligon. It is his absolute honor to play a role in the care of patients, respecting that each patient is unique and necessitates an individualized care pathway. Dr. Ligon remains humbled by my patients' strength and tenacity, as well as fascinated and excited by the rapid expansion of knowledge in his field.
