Dumercy McHenry, PharmD, BCOP, BCPS

Dr. Dina Dumercy McHenry, is currently the Director of Pharmacy at the Miami Cancer Institute. She obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy from Florida A & M University and furthered her training with a Pharmacy Practice Residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where her commitment to patient-centered care took root. Dr. Dumercy McHenry's dedication to oncology pharmacy led her to customize her training to focus on Hematology and Oncology and later completing an ASHP Oncology Patient Care Traineeship early in her career as an oncology clinical pharmacist. She is Board Certifications in Oncology Pharmacy. As she transitioned to an administrative role in Oncology, Dr. McHenry furthered her education by completing an MBA and becoming a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt. This expanded skill set enables her to make data-driven decisions and optimize processes to enhance patient care and healthcare delivery.

With over two decades of experience in Hematology Oncology, Dr. Dumercy McHenry has made significant contributions across various healthcare settings. She currently serves as the co-chair of the MCI Oncology P&T Committee, has lead health-system standardization of clinical practice initiatives and started and directed an ASHP accredited Oncology PGY2 pharmacy residency program. Her ongoing commitment to advancing pharmacy practice is evident in her work to establish a new PGY2 Pharmacy residency program in Investigational Drugs and Research at BHSF.

Dr. Dumercy McHenry is an active member of esteemed professional societies, including the Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Association (HOPA), Florida Society of Clinical Oncology (FLASCO) Board of Directors, National Community Oncology Dispensing Association (NCODA), and the Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC). Her memberships underscore her dedication to staying at the forefront of advancements in the field.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dr. Dumercy McHenry is driven by a deep passion for patient and caregiver education in the realm of cancer treatment.
