Overview
Orthopaedic surgeons, musculoskeletal radiologists, and other healthcare providers interested in diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal injuriesThere is no forum within MHS where musculoskeletal providers across different specialities can collaborate and discuss mutual cases of interest especially in the field of sports medicine. Often, radiologists will read MRI's in isolation without discussing the case with surgeons and surgeons rarely have an opportunity to share intra-operative findings with the original radiologist for clinical-radiographic correlation. In addition, radiologists' reads of musculoskeletal imaging studies without clinical information can lead to missed injuries or incomplete reads.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Diagnostic ultrasound continues to display efficacy, and a lack of awareness remains amongst clinicians treating musculoskeletal injuries.
  2. Physicians caring for patients with musculoskeletal conditions continue to utilize advanced imaging modalities as a part of their assessments.
  3. Additional exposure and training as well as retrospective review of treatment courses will be a focus for next year.
