The Echocardiography Quality Improvement program at MHS was established for maintaining the highest of quality patient care in compliance with Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) Standards. The goals of the program include submission of high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms, as well as, preparing, completing, and reporting accurate Echocardiographic reports, maintenance of all equipment for patient care quality and safe use capability, providing continuing education to remain current on American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) guidelines, and attest to continuous compliance with IAC standards. Continuance education is a requirement of all individuals participating in the delivery of Echocardiographic services. This includes Medical and Technical Staff of the Memorial Healthcare System. CME submission is required yearly as they are earned.

1. Identify and evaluate the appropriateness of the exam performed.
2. Evaluate technical quality through sonographer performance variability review.
3. Evaluate interpretive quality through physician interpretative variability review.
4. Evaluate the final report for completeness and timeliness.

Credit

• Physicians: Memorial Healthcare System designates this Live Activity and Learning from teaching for a maximum of 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
•  Credits for physicians licensed in Florida will be reported to CE Broker. Physicians licensed outside of Florida are responsible for self-reporting their CME credits to their respective state licensing board or accrediting body.
• All Other Learners: All other learners will receive a Certificate of Participation for a maximum of 1.00 hours of education. Consult your professional licensing board regarding the applicability and acceptance of certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ from organizations accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education. 

Maximum credit amount subject to change based on final activity agenda. 

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received in writing no less than 20 days before the course will be refunded, less a 20% administrative fee. No refunds will be made on cancellations received after that date. Please send cancellation requests to [email protected].

Memorial Healthcare System reserves the right to cancel or postpone this program if necessary; in the event of cancellation, course fees will be fully refunded. We are not responsible for other costs incurred such as non-refundable airline tickets or hotel penalties.
